Well, I was interested in the 911 conspiracy information until a friend of mine made a very astute observation. While theory and discussion is interesting and makes for good political fodder, it requires a lot of scrutiny to validate and not take at face value. While many of the points are interesting, the truth is, there are many theories that are not substantiated. After doing a little research, it was interesting to see all of the various theories besides this one, “That the Government did it.”
So, what did Dave say to me while watching the Loose Change video? Well, he looked at me and said, welcome to the modern “Grassy Knoll” theory. Meaning, the world has been full of conspiracy theory since the dawn of time and now the U.S. has once again changed due to one fateful day in New York. Very much like that horrific day in Dallas Texas in November when Kennedy was assassinated. In 1963 the United States at that time in our history was rocked to it’s foundation and many felt that the safety of the time was compromised. National safety was now on high alert and the complacency of the 50’s was now over. Presidents since have become more cognoscente of the potential dangers and have taken precautions. Politics have changed and while it was a very different world, there are similarities to what happened on September, 11, 2001. Of course many, many lives were lost, but the world as we know it was change both in 1964 and now some 40 years later in 2001.
Therefore, the theories and complexity of what “really” happened will probably go down into the history books as food for thought. Regardless, it’s changed the world both then and now regardless of what story you subscribe.
