Funny Feline!

I know everyone has an animal story that’s probably worth publishing or writing about. Well, I’m no different. Our cat “Sophie” keeps us all on our toes most days and has one interesting personality. She exhibits all of the typical feline behavior by acting indifferent when you leave the house, to giving you those go straight to hell looks at odd times and of course the ever classic, talk to the a-hole cause’ the rest of me isn’t listening as I walk away from you, you disgusting being.

Sophie, while being all cat, does have some “unusual” habits. For one thing, she’s very predictable some times almost like a dog. She has her little creature of habit, habits. Feeding time of course is very important in her day. The every not being present due to sleeping is one habit she shares with her entire species and of course grooming herself into oblivian. There are a variety of games that are a favorite of hers and Jodi obliges for the most part with the “mouse - on - stick” game she so loves. However, after obsession sets in, we have to hide the toy or we’re driven crazy to the point of ear muffs and or loud music to cover up the mew-begging.

Big Kid…

Have you ever woke up early in the morning say on a Wednesday or Thursday looking up at the ceiling thinking, I have responsibility! What the heck happened? One day not long ago, I would have woke up trying to figure out what I’d be doing this coming weekend, or I was staying up late hanging out with friends and listening to rock music or going out just because. Then you realize that same morning laying there thinking, it’s the next day, mortgage, family, kids and oh a job where everyone’s looking to your guidance and leadership on a ton of projects.

Wait, I’m 40-something and still listening to rock music, I wear jeans and shorts to work, wear Crocs to the office every chance I get, I’m driving an open-air jeep and still trying to figure out what I’m going to do this coming weekend. Granted, I’ll probably do “productive” stuff this weekend, but still, I may not. The best part about being this age with the mind-set of youth is that you can “afford” to do things now. Well, okay, my wife says I can’t afford things, but I believe I can. Anyway, while doing stuff, I listen to rock music, drive fast while heading over to Home-Depot to get my supplies and generally goof around while working on my chosen project. I’ll typically take a break and catch a Simpsons episode my son or watch any one of his other favorites.

Crazy Week!

Okay, this was one crazy week. While most of my post rail on about technology or wax eloquent about recent trips to the mountains, this one focuses on how life can be stressful and out of control. We’ve all had them. Weeks that you plan out so meticulously only to barrel out of control faster than a run away train. You know it’s going to be “One of those weeks” when first thing Monday morning, the phone starts ringing and everything goes to hell in less than 15 minutes.

Grassy Knoll

Well, I was interested in the 911 conspiracy information until a friend of mine made a very astute observation. While theory and discussion is interesting and makes for good political fodder, it requires a lot of scrutiny to validate and not take at face value. While many of the points are interesting, the truth is, there are many theories that are not substantiated. After doing a little research, it was interesting to see all of the various theories besides this one, “That the Government did it.”

911 Disturbance

One of my employees sent me a link to a documentary recently that I found to be a bit disturbing. I’ll admit, since September 11th, 2001, I’ve accepted without question most of what I saw, was and have been under the opinion that terrorists flew planes into various locations killing innocent people and performing acts of terrorism.

I was unaware, or at least never considered, any other theory or theories that it wasn’t terrorist until this email came into my inbox. Now, I will state, I typically do not subscribe to conspiracy theories or entertain them much. However, I do feel that they should be given at least a review with an open mind and either dismissed or evaluated further. While I do not subscribe to wacky theories, I do subscribe to the thought that “Where there’s smoke, there’s some kind of fire.”

So, I watched the entire video and found it to be a bit disturbing in regards to some of the “Facts”. Fortunately, the tone was not on the same level as Michael Moores diatribe, as it was more real documentary. It’s presented very matter of fact with the tone, here’s some facts, look them over and think for yourself. Prove or disprove them.

Watch it with an open mind and come to your own conclusions.
