Quiet September

September was a bit crazy and to tell the truth, it hasn’t let up. I barely had time to get my work done and I spent all of my spare time working on my business plan.

So, here it is now October and many things are approaching very fast. First, Jodi and I are co-chairing our Ski Teams Oktoberfest event. Well, truth is, Jodi’s doing most of the work, I’m acting like an executive and just making “big” decisions. Fortunately, we did it last year and so it’s easier second time around. This coming week will be crazy as we get our volunteers trained and get the final program all finished.

To top it off, I’ve actually started executing on my business plan next to my full time job, it’s all I can think about. Every waking hour (starting at 5AM) all I’m thinking about are the details of the business.

So, what is it? I’ve decided to kick-off a car rental company here in Colorado. Not just any rental company, but a luxury and eventually an exotic/high-line car rental company. As it turns out, there just isn’t anything beside the big 8 and a few local rental companies here in Colorado. Even in Aspen and/or Vail, you’d think that someone has started up a rental company. That’s it, not too complicated and I’m hoping it takes off enough to make it a full time thing. If you want, check out the starting web site I’ve put together for what it looks like. The one area I’m planning is to offer white glove service and deliver the cars to customers in a covered car carrier being pulled by my new truck.

Well, hopefully October wont be as “silent” as September.
