Cars, cars and more cars
Well, the dust has settled on several personal projects. Well, okay, Oktoberfest is over. While I didn’t work nearly as hard as Jodi on the event, I still put my time in. The event went off without a hitch and now it’s all over but the crying.
So, now that it’s over, I can focus my free time on my new business venture. AKA spending money on cars. I’m close to procuring the insurance for the business and so, before a few good deals go by on eBay, I’ve put down a few bids. The first car is a Ferrari Red 2005 Lotus Elise. I’m looking for good quality fun cars and this one seems to be a good start.
My next car will be the H2. While not my personal favorite, it seems to be a good seller in other markets. So, I figure with winter and the mountains covered in snow, a good exotic 4×4 SUV is probably another good seller. We’ll see.
I think part of the “fun” part of doing this particular business is the “buying” and “selling” of cars. If a car doesn’t sell well and/or no one seems interested in renting it, then it’ll have to go. Hence, the reason to go after 1 or 2 year old cars versus brand-new. New has the immediate depreciation that isn’t attractive in business. So, I’ll peruse eBay and a couple of dealers I’ve found around the country to purchase good clean used luxury and exotics.
Getting started is both scary and fun at the same time.
