Great stuff

This past weekend was awesome both weather wise and with regards to our detailing project. Dylan skipped going skiing and decided to help me out all weekend. Saturday we hung out downtown Denver stopping by many of Denver’s finest hotels. We also decided to swing by The Motorsports Gallery, where we hung out with several Porsches, BMW 740i, Range Rover and the best looking Aston Martin I’ve seen in person. Dylan’s favorite by far.

Our last stop downtown was Detailers Paradise. Nick and Heather were kind enough to share their product line with us discussing the ins & outs of detailing cars to a showroom shine. We discussed business in the Denver area in general and of course, I purchased a few recommended products to get us started. Epic and Slick.

Sunday was the day to start trying them out. Dylan and I focused first on completely cleaning both the Lotus and the Mercedes. Once they were cleaned to perfection, Dylan took on the task of applying Epic to the Lotus. After the 30-45 minute wait period, he began the buffing portion and WOW! It made a HUGE difference. He was so excited he couldn’t wait to start on the Mercedes. Beings that it was black, we knew it needed some pop and Epic didn’t disappoint. We’re now hooked.

Thanks Heather and Nick!!! Check out their product line at: Detailers Paradise.

It’s alive!

Altitude Dream Cars is now officially up and running. I’m taking a few minutes to quickly post an update on my BLOG. I’ve been absent mostly due to the fact that I’ve been spending nights and weekends on getting my new business up and running. Time is a precious thing when you’re trying to get so much done in a short amount of time. Unfortunately, you let the little things slip. I’ve had a ton of thoughts about posting here, but have ended up spending most of my time writing promotional material for the emails and Press Releases.
So, onto the point of this post. As of March 1st, 2007, the business Altitude Dream Cars is now fully operational. Our insurance was bound on that date and technically, we can put people behind the wheel of our cars. So far, the phone hasn’t rung off the wall, but that’s to be expected with such a new venture. Until the word gets out, it’s going to be a bit quiet.

In the mean time, we still have a lot of logistic and operational work to be done. My dad, Carl, is working on a lot of the shop needs. He’s about to embark on putting a storage loft in the shop for all of our personal “junk”.

My next big move is to start working every angle on getting the word out the every outlet I can think. I believe once other business’s, organizations and people know about our service, they’ll be very interested.

Wish me luck!
